Do you offer delivery?

We offer delivery on weekends for cakes $200+ within a 10 mile radius for an $50 delivery fee. All other orders must be picked up in Columbia Heights, Washington DC on Thursdays from 4-8pm or Saturdays 8am-1pm. The address for pickup will be sent to you with your final invoice.

How do I place and confirm my order?

Once you submit the order form (link), we will respond to your inquiry within 48 hours with an invoice for half the total. Your order is confirmed and added to our calendar once the invoice is paid. The invoice must be paid within 48 hours of receiving it or the order will be canceled. The final invoice will be sent a week before the order is picked up and it will be due 3 days before pickup or delivery. For orders placed within a week of pickup or delivery, one total invoice will be sent and your order will be confirmed once the invoice is paid.

Do you offer refunds?

We give refunds for orders canceled at least 2 weeks in advance. For orders canceled less than 2 weeks in advance we do not offer refunds, however, you can use the deposit for a future order within 1 year of the date you received the first invoice.

When should I order?

The sooner the better! 2+ weeks in advance is ideal but we will take orders up to 5 days in advance, pending availability. For orders placed less than 5 days in advance there will be a $30 rush fee.

Can I leave the cake out at room temperature?

The cake should be taken out of the fridge and left at room temperature for 1-3 hours before eating to enjoy the best texture. Cakes can be left out at room temperature for 6 hours but it is not recommended to leave it out for longer. For celebrations in warm weather, remember that the cake is made out of BUTTERcream and it will melt! Although we do use Italian Meringue Buttercream, the most stable buttercream, it will eventually melt!

Do you make fondant covered cakes?

No. Our cakes are finished with buttercream however we can provide fondant accents.

Do you write names or happy birthday on cakes?

In our cake style, we can include happy birthday with a cake topper or with fondant letters. We do not write names or happy birthday in handwritten buttercream. We can include a buttercream or fondant number in some cake styles. Please see the menu for pictures.
